Wooden beams won't last forever! This SmartJack® project shows the transformation of wooden beams to a more supportive beam to protect your basement.
This job was a combination of waterproofing and foundation support. These before and after photos showcase the transformation our CleanSpace and PowerBrace system can bring to a basement. Before our products were installed, these basement walls were cracked, suffering from water damage, and buckling. We first tackled the water troubles by installing CleanSpace on the wall to act as a vapor barrier, trapping the moisture and keeping it from getting in. The CleanSpace was used in conjunction with other waterproofing products such as WaterGuards, and a TripleSafe sump pump to create a highly effective system designed to stop water from lingering in the basement.
On top of the CleanSpace are the PowerBraces which attach directly to the wall without much intrusion or difficulty. PowerBraces are strong, durable, and reliable. Their purpose is to stabilize the foundation and keep the walls from bowing any further. They also can be tightened over time to correct the walls back to the proper location, making PowerBraces a very effective choice when it comes to providing your foundation with support!
Here’s a fantastic look at a complete waterproofing transformation. This basement went from having little to no protection to a full-fledged system. Products on display in the after photo are Drainage Matting, CleanSpace, WaterGuard, and a TripleSafe sump pump. All of these products are great on their own, but when they’re brought together, invading moisture stands no chance. Each tackles a different area, making them a perfect, well-rounded team that is ready to defend any basement.
