ZenWall - The Simplest Way to Create a Dry, Clean, Finished Look on Your Basement Walls!
This homeowner’s concerns all stemmed from their crawlspace. The entire area filled with water, so before any installation could be done, the crawlspace had to be drained and dried. Once the area was able to be entered cleanly, our Design Specialist inspected the space and drew up a plan to get things back where they needed to be.
The first step taken was to ensure flooding like that would never happen again. To combat this, the best solution was to install a TripleSafe Sump System with all the works to keep the water out and the apparatus operating properly and efficiently even in freezing weather. This product not only keeps the water out, but also at a far enough distance so it doesn’t come back. After the TripleSafe comes the CleanSpace and drainage matting. These two pieces take up the entire area and are designed to act as a moisture barrier and deterrent, working hand in hand with the TripleSafe to keep the crawlspace free of water in any form. And to be extra careful with the overall integrity of the crawlspace, SmartJacks were installed to aid in supporting the foundation; all in all creating a strong, protected crawlspace.
Adirondack Basement Systems recently had the opportunity to assist The Nassau Free Library in Nassau, NY. The crawl space below the library needed a vapor barrier and some much-needed support to stop the floors from sagging.
Bill Seabridge is one of our structural System Design Specialists, once he was assigned this inspection he was right out there to propose a solution for this amazing facility! Bill proposed SmartJacks to replace the old style jacks they were using to support the structure. He also proposed CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system.
The library had a dirt crawl space under it, this damp environment is very unhealthy and destructive. The CleanSpace encapsulation system completely isolated the library from the earth, this dramatically reduced the humidity level in the air which, when combined with sealing outside air and dehumidification, eliminated mold growth and rot from their crawl space, this has made the entire library a healthier place.
