Sump pumps are a vital part of any waterproofing system. If your home has an old, run-down pump or none at all, then infiltrating water is most likely a common occurrence. Here at Adirondack Basement Systems, we offer a number of different pumps to provide relief to your basement. Installation is easy and they can even go right where the old pump was. Take a look at the difference in quality between one of our pumps and a dated sump pit!
This Altamont home had water leaking into the basement, which was damaging and weakening the walls, as well as creating mold. Our team came in with an all-around approach and installed CleanSpace to protect the home from water damage, and PowerBrace to support the walls.
This homeowner grew concerned about the integrity of their foundation after noticing cracks in the walls of their basement. Wanting to stop the damage from getting worse, they called in a Design Specialist to gauge the situation and find a solution to their wall support struggles. Based on the cracks scattered throughout and the slightly bowing walls, our Design Specialist recommended having a PowerBrace wall system installed to keep the walls in place and supported. A PowerBrace wall system is super sturdy and designed to take some of the stress off the walls, providing a huge boost to the health of your walls and foundation.
This homeowner reached out to us after finding humidity had caused the insulation to get saturated and mold began to grow. After discussing with the homeowner, Jon designed a encapsulation system that dramatically reduced the humidity and provided a dehumidifying filtration system that prevented mold and reduced odors.
Homeowners in Voorheesville, NY had a crawlspace beneath their home that caused the upstairs area to be much cooler than it should have been. It lacked proper insulation and was damp, due to water seeping through the seams of the foundation. Since this home was newly purchased, they decided it would be most ideal to rectify these issues as soon as possible. They contacted Adirondack Basement Systems for a free estimate with one of our Crawlspace specialists. Upon doing a thorough inspection, he recommended installing both a vapor barrier and a thermal barrier along the blocked walls of the crawlspace as well as sprayfoam in the joists. CleanSpace vapor barrier is made of an inorganic material which cannot support mold growth and is warrantied against rips and tears. ThermalDry Wall is a thermal barrier made with SilverGlo technology. The reflective material keeps heat from escaping and cold air from coming through.
