It lacked proper insulation and was damp, due to water seeping through the seams of the foundation. Since this home was newly purchased, they decided it would be most ideal to rectify these issues as soon as possible. Upon doing a thorough inspection, he recommended installing both a vapor barrier and a thermal barrier along the blocked walls of the crawlspace as well as sprayfoam in the joists. ThermalDry Wall is a thermal barrier made with SilverGlo technology. The reflective material keeps heat from escaping and cold air from coming through.
