While crawlspaces may not be the most used part of the home, they play a vital role in the health of the house. If the crawlspace is in rough shape it will affect the rest of your home. This crawlspace’s primary issue was moisture, so our Design Specialist went in to look around and see what potential solutions existed. The plan that they drew up and was agreed upon by the homeowner consisted of an upgrade to its drainage system and some added protection against moisture.
First, our team cleared out some debris that was in the way. Then, a SmartDrain and drainage matting was placed to prevent any intruding water from gathering in the crawlspace and divert it out of the house. Then, CleanSpace was spread along the walls and ground to act as a moisture barrier. Finally, to keep the humidity to a minimum and help improve the air quality not only in the crawlspace, but the entire house as well, we installed a SaniDry Sedona to get the job done.
