A homeowner from Olmstedville, NY, who recently had some Foundation work done in a crawlspace, called in hopes of adding some waterproofing products to the area for overall protection. Excited to help a returning customer, our Appointment Center quickly scheduled a time for one f our Design Specialists to see what can be done. Amongst initial inspection, our Design Specialist came up with several solutions.
The homeowner agreed to adding the products, without hesitation, and production quickly got started with installation. In addition to the already installed SmartJacks for Foundation Support, our production team added a SaniDry Sedona for dehumidification of the area, a CleanSpace Liner to protect the crawlspace walls and floors, and drainage matting. PowerBrace installation is a very common foundation solution we provide homeowners who are dealing with bowing or buckling walls in their basement. This job in particular was rather straightforward. It began with one of our experienced design specialists coming out and doing a full inspection of the area, determining what issues were present and what solutions would fix said issues. The walls of the basement were displaced and required correction and protection from getting worse. From there, the job was handed off to one of our foremen and their crew, whose first step was to mark where each PowerBrace would go, evenly spacing them around the walls so the weight of the house is distributed properly. Then, the PowerBrace were custom cut to perfectly fit the basement walls to ensure they are tightly secured. Finally, all that was left was to install the PowerBraces and the job was done. PowerBraces are a great, noninvasive solution to bowing walls, preventing them from being displaced any further and even correcting the walls back to their original position.
