Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Waterproofing and Floor Support in Gloversville, NY
On display here is a combination of waterproofing and foundation support. Let’s take a look first at the waterproofing side.
What you first notice is the drainage matting laid out on the floor. Drainage matting is typically paired with CleanSpace (like in this basement) because both are designed to facilitate any moisture that finds its way into the basement and direct it to the WaterGuard which you can see at the bottom of the walls in the basement. WaterGuard sends water to the TripleSafe sump pump, which sends it out of the home. TripleSafe has three different levels of power so it’s prepared for even the worst northeast storm, especially when factoring in its WaterWatch alarm that alerts the homeowner when its handling large amounts of water and its backup battery that keeps it running in the event of a power outage. Together, these products create a well-rounded, reliable waterproofing system.
As for the foundation problems, the floors above the basement were sagging and bouncy, so a series of SmartJacks support piers were installed to prevent the floor from being displaced any further and slowly lifting them back to their original position.
This basement is a great example of how both our waterproofing and foundation systems can work in unison to completely revitalize a home.
