Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Versatile Waterproofing System in Leeds, NY
This photo album showcases a variety of products used in a waterproofing job. The two primary problems for this basement were water seeping in through the walls and four worn, deteriorated basement windows. As you can see from the first few photos, there were large damp spots and the windows were practically falling apart. To help mitigate the moisture problem, we installed Cactus Board which is a footing/wall drain that collects any water that gets through and redirects it to the drainage system—in this case that would be the TripleSafe sump system. The TripleSafe is highly effective against large volumes of water and is super reliable, able to run even during freezing temperatures or power outages. You can see the IceGuard and discharge piping in the outdoor photo. In the last photo, you can get a good look at the CleanSpace system we also installed to help the Cactus Board manage any water. CleanSpace acts as a vapor barrier, keeping moisture that seeps through the concrete walls from entering the basement and causing damage. As for the windows, we replaced them with EverLast windows, designed to keep water from getting in through the cracks and heat from escaping, saving this homeowner money on two fronts. Finally, we covered the windows on the outside with a SunHouse to give it an extra layer of protection from the elements. Water may be an inevitability of life, but this homeowner won’t have to worry about it causing damage to their home for quite some time!
