Adirondack Basement Systems Sponsors 2012 Family First Music Fest & Idol Competition!
This past Saturday, Aug 11, Family First presented its first of two days of music and family fun! This weekend's activities were held at the Shenantaha Creek Park in Malta and while the rain kept the crowds down , everyone in attendance had a great time listening to the sounds of Tail Spin and Talia Denis & Those Guys. Torres Tae Kwon Do performed throughout the day and there were bounce houses, Henna tattoos, face painting, and posing for pictures to keep the kids happy!
The mission of Family First Always is to strengthen children, families, grandparents, and our community by reducing the effects of abuse, trauma, family dysfunction, eradicate domestic violence, divorce and seperation, through advocacy, education, training, therapy and policy development as well as improve the quality of life for low-income, at risk families.
Paula Gretzinger started Parentology With Paula 3 years ago with the mission to help other busy parents like her who are raising tykes or teens while juggling the rest of life's challeneges. This year, Paula started the non-profit Family First Always, which was inspired by Doris Buffet and after becoming a single parent herself. Paula is determined to help other families. She is very passionate about Parentology and Family First Always. Paula's first initiative is to purchase 25 Robo Babies to launch a program with a curriculum throughout schools in the Capital Region to help prevent teen pregnancy.
