Newly Finished Basement in Schenectady, NY

Challenge

Homeowners in Schenectady were looking to create a livable space in the basement that their family could enjoy for years to come. Safety was a top priority for these homeowners so they knew they wanted an egress window to be put in place of their standard basement windows. After researching basement finishing options they found Adirondack Basement Systems and contacted us for a free estimate with design specialist Jon Roz. The Homeowners expressed they wanted total basement finishing options from flooring to walls and everything in between. Jon provided them with a proposal that would allow them to make their basement everything that they desired in looks and comfort!

Solution

Starting with the floors, we had our foreman Austin P. install ThermalDry Elite Planks in the color pecan. All of our ThermalDry flooring options are inorganic and raised off the concrete slab itself which keeps the floor comfortably warm and dry as well as prevents mold from growing. To complement the flooring, homeowners chose our Basement to Beautiful wall paneling system. Also made of an inorganic material, our wall panels are safe from moisture and mildew. With an R-13 insulation value, our TBF EverLast walls are the perfect solution for creating livable spaces up to code standards. Their solid construction also allows for mounting of large objects like TVs. The homeowners had us install an Egress window in their basement to allow more light to come in and provide the safety they were looking for. On the outside of the Egress window we have our Spacewel installed with a cover to prevent the elements from coming in direct contact with the window.

Their basement has undergone a complete transformation thanks to the work our Foremen Austin and his crew put in to make it a livable space. The homeowners can now comfortably enjoy their new space designed with our patented products.
